Inspire

Every moment last forever.
When you feel you've lost your way.

What if my chances were already gone?
I started believing that I could be wrong.
But you give me one good reason.
To fight and never walk away.

So here I am, still holding on.

With every step, you climb another mountain
Every breath, it's harder to believe
You'll make it through the pain, weather the hurricanes
To get to that one thing

Just when you think the road is going nowhere
Just when you almost gave up on your dreams
They take you by the hand and show you that you can

You can go higher, you can go deeper
There are no boundaries above and beneath you
Break every rule 'cause there's nothing between you
And your dreams

------------------------------

"It's good that you've hit rock bottom
because you can't go any lower,
up is the only way you can go."

How true.

既来之, 则安之

Out to kill: 10 Chinese open-ended comprehensions dating back from year 2001 + ALOT of SS corrections by tomorrow morning 0800

Exciting Monaco!!!

Monaco was so far the most exciting race in this season w the fierce competition between Ferrari and Brawn even though overtaking was almost impossible in its street circuit. Several mistakes along the way causing Ferrari to lose 1st and 2nd but I guess second best is a huge leap to the disastrous start to the season. Massa missed podium by one position!!! So close yet so far away from the champagne, the taste of victory. Nevertheless, he continuously set fastest lap times and he still holds the record for the fatest lap 1:15.154. Very very proud of him and Kimi!!! :)

On the other hand, it was very disappointing for Vettel. And I've to say, Force India, I'm impressed. Hopefully Istanbul will see us through another exciting race w real competition and a change in the race winner. :)

No Boundaries

The shocking news came in this morning that Kris has been crowned the new champion. Simon's praise jinxed eh. On the other hand, Danny's fan voted for Kris too. Religious issue probably. Nevertheless, we should respect America's choice since it's their very own idol, it's their choice whether they choose to play fair or not. So don't be sad Esme!!! Adam \m/

I would still prefer Cook + Archie. Wasn't paying much attention to this season until the end.

I (L) JASON MRAZ!!!!!! He's the real idol man!!!! :)

P.S. I'm very pissed w my mom. :S

Thanks for making me a fighter.

1. I'm suffering from an overdose of Chinese.
4 hrs of daily intensive sessions + 14 close passages to be done in one night as homework: Hardly bearable. I seriously could not be bothered after the third one.

2. I've an enormous reptile scaling my wall in front of me now. Ahhhh!!!!!
(Okay, it's a lizard in case you're wondering.)

3. I haven't been shopping for more than a month!!!! What a notable feat. I swear I'm going on a huge shopping spree on 1st June after the big paper and start canceling stuff off my growing list. But first, I've to start saving $$. Being cropped up with school does not mean spending less because I've been splurging on food to reward myself for going through everyday. I'm going broke at this rate.

4. I love GG's finale yesterday!!!! Chuck and Blair, finally!!! The Goodbye, not. Season 3 is going to be exciting. Hahaha Georgina + Blair as roommates spells nothing but trouble.

5. I wanna watch House!!! Maybe during the June holidays.

6. I couldn't much be bothered about American Idol now that the outcome is so obvious.

Something to relieve the tension:

For the days we believe we could fly

Photobucket

So why don't you meet me, down behind The Old School?
We'll waste away the weekend,
With perfect regard for how cavalier we used to be,
That Beautiful Insanity,
The Apathy's Surrounding Me,
Don't close your eyes or we'll fade away .

We'll go back to the place where the night never ends
We'll remember the fires,
The burning car tires,
Boy how in the hell did we get here?

And we'll never get back what we gave away,
When we still have that fire in our eyes.

Nothing's as real as our old reckless ways,
When we drink by the fires,
The burning car tires,
Bad girls and good liars,
The dreams we'd conspire,
The days we went crazy,
The nights wild and hazy,
Man how in the hell did we get here?

I forgot all about Mother's Day

Oooooops, sorry mom! I didn't even have a single meal with my mom today. I got up at 3pm because nobody/no alarm nothing woke me up and my mom was already out with her friends, probably mad that nobody remembered. In the evening, I went for dinner with my dad, my aunts and lil'mon, w/o my mom too cause she was at the East and it was already v. late. Omg, I feel so bad. I shall get her a bouquet of flowers tomorrow to humour her and nurse my guilt, she loves flowers, of all kinds.

Anyway that aside, I'm super mad at Ferrari. I missed today's race because I was out but I was notified the results by my informers. Massa could have gotten a podium, but lack of fuel at the end, of all things, lost him 2 positions to his starting 4th. Omg, what lack of judgement from the team!!!! And Raikkonen retired because of technical issues, very very disappointing even though he started of 16th, who knows there might be a miracle? The key here was just keeping on. Omg you know what, I h8 Ferrari!!! They are the reason Massa missed that podium. Points, are just not enough in this situation. Nevertheless, I'm still very proud of Massa!!!! He's the "dangerman" indeed!!!! Next race will take place in my fav gp- Monaco!!! :)

My life would suck w/o you

Hello world. I'm almost fully recovered but I'm still stuck on sunny island Singapore. But oh well, looks like it isn't that bad after all. Half of my family are at Bintan now so dinner out tonight was only the 4 of us, but it was good.

I was absent from school for half a week and I finally realised that how empty my life be without school. So much for how much I dread going to school in the past! At home, cable vision and the internet are my only friends, but in school, I've so many more! I love everybody in school, they complete my life. Thanks everyone for being so concerned and zh/esme/yve/art who went through the trouble to get me hmwk and settle everything for me. Most of you probably won't see this but I really really (L) all of you.

And it's been long since I've talked to my pretty sbf/kh/clique, I really miss them. Sometimes, I wish O'levels will never end so I can always be with these people! They're the best I can ever have. It's hard to believe how I screwed up my MYEs badly and I can still be as happy as a lark. I guess I have learned way beyond just academic.

F1 update:

Massa 1st, 1-2 for Ferrari during this morning practice in Spain so I'm superrr happy!!! Massa's 4th on the grid for qualifying and the new F60 is proving to be competitive with the Brawn even though the full diffusers are not up yet. Yesssss, finally!!! I hope for a win or at least podium finish for Massa tomorrow!!! I hate it that they're going to be at the Europe region for long, which means 20:00 Local race/qualifying and I'll miss them mostly because I'll be out for dinner. Repeats aren't as excitinggg. :(

Whatever they are,
you can fixed them,
You just have to want it bad enough.
You said I could do anything if I was willing to risk falling flat on my face.

Nothing.

No Bintan. No MYEs.

Arghh. What's the use of getting better?!

Burnin' Up

39.0 °C

Believe me, going to school has never sounded that good. I think the doctor has just swindled me because it's the Swine Flu period. But whatever it is, I desperately want to take the exams!!! And if this continues, Bintan on Friday might just be impossible!!!! How I hate myself.

Thanks for all the texts this morning friends, it definitely feels much better knowing you guys are around.

Somehow, I feel that among the people who excel academically, they have at least one of the three if not all. One, a brain like Jimmy Neutron's and a photographic memory. Two, resilience. Three, passion for studying. Well, I think 2 works the best on most people I guess. But it's definitely the hardest way out. Not having 1 and 3, it's best that I should start working on 2 but oh god, here I'm, desperately crying out to the lords to find a motivation for me to start all the information jamming.

It has been 5 bloody hours. And I'm not even close to half done due to all the distractions. Disheartened, I came online, hoping to find motivation from others' progress. But to no avail cause apparently, we all succumbed to distractions.

Time and again, I question: What's the point of cramming such useless information into our heads, something that we will only use to get to the next level, and after that, it goes promptly into the "recycle bin"? But I have never found an answer, what I always get is something along "Hey there's no choice, it's the only route out. Come on you can do it!". But the thing is how to do it when you can't even get why you're doing it. And neither have I found other means to get to where I want to be in a less torturous, more meaningful way.

Unfortunately, it's a almost like a fact that no matter how hard we study here, we might just be able to get into one of the top local colleges and then into a local Uni or maybe an Aussie one, which is nothing, if compared to Yale, Oxford or Berkeley. And there we are again, out in the working world, under those with a better cert, in this continuous cycle again, slogging our guts out to get our cars and houses. I don't see LIGHT in the future. At all.

Gaahh, I should continue with my Senna's documentary.

In frustration,
J.

In Loving Memory of Ayrton Senna

"For me, this research is fascinating. Every time I push, I find something more, again and again. But there is a contradiction. The same moment that you become the fastest, you are enormously fragile. Because in a split-second, it can be gone. All of it. These two extremes contribute to knowing yourself, deeper and deeper."

ayrton senna Pictures, Images and Photos

Senna was one of the legendary drivers of all times. He was the "phenomenal talent that took the sport by storm". Unfortunately, I was unable to witness his greatness because he was called home when I was only a year old, in 1994 due to an accident at the Imola track. It's a pity I only got to know him recently when I started following Formula 1, but I saw clips of him and his superb racing. He may have been reckless and very aggressive but he had great compassion and integrity lying within him. He was thought to be "an even greater man outside the car than he was in it". Countless of his fellow countrymen, children esp, had benefitted from his kindness, from the rewards of his victories. Till today, he remains as the greatest driver of all times in the hearts of many. One of his greatest fans is Michael Schumacher and even Massa and Hamilton treat him as their hero.

It was so so so unjust of God to take away his life. He deserved to live on and go much further. Maybe heaven needed a driver so he was summoned. In any case, I'm very very very proud to be a Senna fan. I really cannot comprehend those people who put Hamilton in comparison with Senna. And it is indeed very aggravating!!! Not only to someone like Hamilton, Senna is irreplaceable. No matter how many world championships or wins they have surpassed him, they can never beat him, never ever.

I wish Formula 1 is of fair racing, having results solely based on real full-potential performance. I really hate what's becoming of it now, teams trying to gain an edge over the rest through the grey area of the supposedly black and white rules, the lie scandal, the power struggle... They really make the sport very very ugly. They should seriously stop treating this whole thing like a circus. Why can't they race for the love and passion for the sport?

"With your mind power,
your determination, your instinct,
and the experience as well,
you can fly very high."

-Ayrton Senna
